EPCOR’s North American Commercial Management team is hiring a Senior Advisor, Commercial Management [Full-time, Permanent position]. This is a critical role driving EPCOR’s regulatory and commercial operations by supporting rate regulation and overseeing lifecycle of complex contracts, while shaping commercial strategies that optimize value and mitigate risk across regulatory frameworks.
As a Senior Advisor, you’ll play a critical role in driving commercial excellence by overseeing high-value and complex commercial contracts, ensuring compliance, and influencing strategic decisions that impact EPCOR’s growth and success. You’ll collaborate with cross functional teams such as Business Development, Legal and Project Managers, while providing expert support in interpreting complex agreements, managing amendments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. You’ll also lead rate adjustment processes, support regulatory filings, and deliver actionable insights ensure EPCOR remains competitive and customer focused.

What you’d be responsible for
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you’ll be responsible for the following:
- Implementing short- to mid-term deliverables within the Commercial Management business plan.
- Overseeing complex agreements throughout their lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, performance reviews and compliance monitoring.
- Proactively monitoring compliance for assigned agreements based on a deep understanding of commercial environments, counterparties, and contracts.
- Recommending improvements and reviewing commercial management processes to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements while mitigating risks.
- Advising stakeholders on commercial and contractual terms, interpreting agreements, and providing guidance on risk mitigation strategies, regulatory compliance, and financial implications
- Overseeing and supporting rate regulation activities, including performing rate adjustment calculations and preparing regulatory filings such as general rate applications.
- Collaborating with the Business Development and Legal teams including other internal subject matter experts to evaluate new opportunities, optimize commercial value, and support EPCOR’s strategic growth initiatives.
- Maintaining contract repositories and dashboards using Microsoft Office 365 tools, including SharePoint and Power BI.
- Demonstrating a high-performance, disciplined, safe, and customer-focused approach in all aspects of work.

Qualifications:
- A degree in business, finance, legal studies, or a related field
- MBA or professional designation (CPA, CFA, etc.) is an asset
Experience:
- 5+ years of proven experience in:
- commercial management, contract administration, or related advisory roles with a proven ability to manage complex agreements and navigate regulatory environments.
- financial modeling, budgeting, and cost allocation within large organizations.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and commercial risk management, with the ability to influence strategic decisions.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and rate filing processes.
- Strong technical writing skills for regulatory filings and legal documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Power BI dashboards and SharePoint for contract repository management.
- Knowledge and use of Oracle financial systems is considered an asset.
